Alcantara resident wins lotto

CEBU, Philippines - A person from the town of Alcantara is now the 71st millionaire in Cebu who won the different lotto games since 1996.

Glen Rada, chief of lottery operations officer for data center of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, said that one winner of the 6/42 draw on February 12 won P9,956,989.80 with the winning combination 17-30-13-39-05-19.

Rada said that the recent winner is the 25th millionaire for the 6/42 lotto games since 1996. The biggest winner for this game was from Lapu-Lapu City in 2006 who won at least P43 million.

The biggest lotto winner from Cebu won over P135 million for the 6/49 lotto game few years ago. Rada said that he has no idea whether the new winner already claimed the prize in Manila. — (FREEMAN)
