Woman found dead in Moalboal town Road accident kills girl in Naga

CEBU, Philippines -  A woman was found dead with a gunshot wound in the head inside an abandoned house in Barangay Tumonoy, Moalboal last Friday dawn.

The police identified the victim as April Mae Timpoloc Labayan, resident of Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City. She was identified through the identification card found in her wallet.

Moalboal Police initially reported to the Cebu Provincial Police Office operations branch that the victim is believed to be in her 30s. She was found bathing in her own blood inside an abandoned house early morning on Friday.

The police are yet to identify the culprit and the owner of the house. Police investigators are also trying to establish the motive behind it and the circumstances behind the victim’s coming to Moalboal.

The police brought the victim to the municipal health office but was declared by Dr. Cesar Mahinay dead on arrival.

Efforts to get more details about the incident remain futile as the Moalboal Police could not be reached. PO3 Maximo Cuyacot of the CPPO operations branch said they are also waiting for the progress report from the Moalboal Police Station which could only be reached through radio transceiver.— FPL (FREEMAN)
