Metro Summer Soul ‘Saving the Seas in Style’

Metro  Society, Metro Style and Metro Channel brought “Summer Soul,” the season`s most luxurious soiree to where it began a little over a decade ago, to the soul of the south – Cebu.Co-presented by Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan, the event was held at the resort’s Azure Beach Club on April 28.

Cebu`s luminaries dazzled in all white as they enjoyed sunset cocktails courtesy of the Botanist, and an editorial photo shoot featuring the furniture of Kenneth  Cobonpue. A benefit dinner at the beach followed, hosted by effervescent Tim Yap and the glamorous Joey Mead King, highlighting the resort`s “Adopt a Clam” campaign, which gives clams a safe and healthy environment to thrive and reproduce. Fifty giant clams were adopted and will be named after their donors.

Leading the cast of VIPs that flew in for the occasion were ABS-CBN`s Head of Lifestyle Group Paolo Pineda and Metro Channel hosts Marc Nelson, Maggi Wilson-Consunji, Anton Barreto, Tricia Centenera, and Metro Society Editor-in-Chief Raul Manzano.

Special awards were given to guests who embodied style and took it to the next level. Winning the Nauti with Tommy prize was Divine Maitland-Smith while the Best Summer Hair of the Night was given to MenchuOuanoRazavi. Aquafina gave the Best Dressed Man Award to Kevin Siao, while the Best Dressed Woman Award was given to Kris Tiffany Janson, who also won the Boldy Beautiful Face of the Night. The night ended with guests dancing to the music of a DJ and enjoying overflowing cocktails and good company.
