Last March 9, the British Embassy Manila kicked off the weeklong Great British Festival at The Cabin of The Pig & Palm. On its fifth year and its first time to be held in Cebu, the event was attended by luminaries from the media, social, corporate scenes, including UK Honorary Consul in Cebu Tamsin Booth. The British Embassy Manila was well represented by Director for Trade and Investment Mike Moon, Second Secretary for Political and Strategic Communications Vicki Bates, and Trade Manager April Cheng.
“We are very excited to showcase the best of Brutish food and drink in Cebu City in association with Chef Jason Atherton. We are all delighted that British Beef is coming back to the Philippines, after nearly 20 years,” shares Mike Moon.
“It is our privilege that the first time the Great British Festival is held in Cebu it is here at The Pig & Palm. We cannot wait for [diners] to try the beef dishes Head Chef Karl Emsen created using beef sourced all the way from East Anglia through C&K Meats,” adds Chris McKowen of The Pig & Palm.
The promotion ran from March 10 to18. The Pig & Palm’s next event was the much awaited visit of Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton who created a special set menu last week. Jason Atherton has four Michelin stars across 17 restaurants worldwide. His first venture in the Philippines is The Pig & Palm Cebu.
