CEBU, Philippines - David Januzai’s “Compass 360” suite gives an additional function to a GPS and gyroscope-enabled smartdevice – it can “convert” a smartphone into a fully functional compass.

Compatible with handsets running on Android 2.3 or higher, the app can be used for a wide variety of purposes, covering hiking trips, biking excursions and camping trips, among others.

Though it can be installed to a wide gamut of smartphone models, its full functionality depends on the availability of hardware sensors – basically a GPS chip and a gyroscope.

Most 2015 smartphone models already have these components, but still it is advisable to check the phone to be sure, prior to installing the app.
