Turning 76

CEBU, Philippines –  Today, October 14, the founder of Ocaña Learning Center Incorporated (OLCI) celebrates his birthday. Dr. Agustin L. Sollano, Jr., Ph.D. is now 76 years old.

Opening the celebration, the first Rector of San Carlos Seminary College (SCSC) in Mabolo, Cebu City, Msgr. Alfeo M. Manalili, presides at the Eucharistic Celebration at 7 a.m. Ordained Roman Catholic priests – whether married or still celibate –are invited, particularly those who studied in SCSC between 1971 and 1975 at the time of the following administrators together with Msgr. Manalili:

1. Msgr. Rodolfo Villanueva (Vice Rector/English Professor/Music Director);

2. Msgr. Vicente Brigoli, now deceased (Oeconomo/Ecclesiastical Subjects);

3. Msgr. Virgilio Yap, also deceased (Arts Professor/Landscaper of the newly opened seminary college);

4. Rev. Father-turned-real father Agustin L. Sollano, Jr., Ph.D. (Philosophy Professor/Prefect of Discipline for two years/Spiritual Director for the next two years).

Besides Archbishop John Du and Bishop Julito Cortes, other priests who studied at SCSC during those above-mentioned years under the guidance of the above-mentioned administrators have been invited to take part in today’s Eucharistic Celebration at OLCI, which also stands for “Only Love Can Inspire.”
