CEBU, Philippines – Eminent Cebu-based interior designer Hannah Lim lends her brand of design aesthetic to Almiya's model units, demonstrating a certain vibe that combines luxury and elegance with unexpected practicality. Almiya is a medium-density residential project in Canduman, Mandaue City, created by homegrown real property leader AboitizLand, Inc.
Lim has previously designed units of AboitizLand's Kishanta Zen Residences and The Persimmon. She holds a Bachelors of Interior Design from the University of the Philippines and a Masters degree in Real Estate Development from New York City's Columbia University. She now heads HL Designs, whose client base is a broad spectrum of project types, categories and sizes. Her firm has recently completed designing the units of the Vera and Amani communities.
The Vera is a two-storey single attached dwelling with three bedrooms, ample living and dining areas, lanai, garage and service area. Amani, on the other hand, is the two-storey duplex unit with three bedrooms, two toilets-and-baths, generous living and dining areas, garage and a service area.
Lim points out that the Almiya units are a wonderful blend of good architecture with carefully planned interior spaces, a factor that ensures excellent outcomes in the interior design phase. "Because, almost always, the structure predetermines the flow and size of the interior spaces. Having a good structure allows the interior designer to enhance the properly planned spaces," she explains.
'Luxury' and 'elegance' are the guiding principles behind the interior design of the Almiya model units. Through the smart addition of sparkle and shine, color and bespoke furniture, HL Designs effectively achieved the look that embodies these principles "without breaking the bank," Lim says.
The Vera model unit has grey for its base neutral. The living and dining rooms have accents of bright yellow. In the kids' room, are pleasant bursts of orange. The second bedroom features a playful mix of sky blue, lemon yellow and apple green; while the master bedroom melds the grey of the living room with sparkles of bronze and magenta.
For the Amani, the designer chooses beige as base color. The living room is accented with scarlet red inspired by the Japanese cherry blossoms. The kids' room is painted a breezy powder blue with green and beige highlights. The master bedroom embraces the same luxurious feel of the living room, made richer with touches of brown and the sparkle of silver.
The Almiya model units are available for viewing at the project site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. To schedule a site trip, the AboitizLand contact number is (032) 4111620. More information is as http://www.aboitizland.com and at www.facebook.com/AboitizLand.Inc.
