Cool down the hot days

CEBU, Philippines – Now that summer has practically taken over, everyone craves for coolers and cold desserts to beat the heat. And these are to be found at Ulli's Streets of Asia.

An easy pick from Ulli's menu would be the chilled "taho," a refreshing spin to the local favorite street treat. Or maybe a spoonful of "yog-i," a creamy combination of yoghurt and ice cream. For a healthier, but equally delicious option, one may opt for the fruit cup generously topped with yoghurt.

Fun under the sun takes to a whole new level with Ulli's invigorating fruity coolers, such as the Marina Mixer, a blend of orange, apple, and watermelon, and the Osaka Piña Colada, a mix of pineapple, banana, mango, and lime. And there's the Sentosa Cooler, a tangy fusion of pineapple, green apple, and cucumber; and the Tokyo Drip, a vigorous blend of apple, lemon, and carrot.

These drinks pack a punch, perfect to pair with Ulli's Oriental dishes inspired by the diverse flavors of Asia. The bestsellers are the Japanese Tori Tori Platter (thick bacon, chicken, squid, and shrimp), Singaporean Char Kway Teow (stir-fried rice noodles with a choice of chicken or shrimp and fish), and Szechuan Ribs, among many others. Then, Ulli's light but satisfying desserts complete the dining experience.

Ulli's Streets of Asia is located on the Rooftop Gardens of Ayala Center Cebu. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The phone number is 2338601; Facebook page -  www.facebook.com/UllisStreetsOfAsia.
