CEBU, Philippines - The first and longest-standing life insurance company in the Philippines is celebrating its 120th year in the country this year. In line with its anniversary celebration, Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc. has lined up a number of events in the city.Among the initial activities is the staging of a play titled "Legacy: The Sun Life Story" at the Marco Polo Hotel on March 5 for the company's financial advisors and select clients. The play has world-renowned writer and director Floy Quintos at the helm, while veteran actors Robert Seña and Isay Alvarez will play the lead roles.
The company's brand ambassadors, industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue and actor Piolo Pascua,l who has been Sun Life's brand ambassador since 2009, have also been scheduled to lead in some of the activities. Cobonpue is set to hold a business opportunity forum for entrepreneurs interested in becoming financial advisors on March 7 at the Marriot Hotel, while Pascual is to star in "Timeless," a thanksgiving show at the Ayala Terraces at 6 p.m. on the same day.
