Dressing Up the Miss Cebu Beauties

CEBU, Philippines – In the opening set of this year's pageant finale, the Miss Cebu contestants wear creations inspired by the "pusô," the unique Cebuano way of cooking rice in small heart-shaped packs made from coconut leaves. The designers are Alejandro Godinez, Barbie Alvez, Peewee Senining, and Rey Villegas in the opening number.

In the next set, the beauties wear "Modern Maria Clara" gowns, the creations of Yvonne Quisumbing, Brian Aloquin, Protacio, and Edwin Ao.

Then the girls display glamorous evening gowns in "Red Terno," designed by Albert Arriba, Marichu Tan, Jun Escario, Ditas Rodriguez, Wendell Quisido, Philipp Tampus, OJ Hofer, William Manahan, Dino Llorren, Arcy Gayatin, Ren Manabat and Harley Ruedas.

The Miss Cebu Coronation Night is tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, and to be telecast live on Studio 23. The Miss Cebu 2015 had its pre-pageant night on Saturday, January 10, at the outdoor stage of The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.
