Hands-On Culinary and Hospitality Training

CEBU, Philippines – A leader in the training and formation of job-ready professionals opened its newest facility in Cebu on August 29 - aimed not only at helping its trainees gain valuable skills, but also to provide professional opportunities for its graduates.

At the forefront in the holistic formation of professionals in the fields of tourism, hospitality and culinary arts since 2007, the Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MCHCA) - an affiliate of the Magsaysay Group of Companies - takes pride in its extensive training curriculum, which essentially combines 80 percent hands-on training and 20 percent classroom lectures and discussions.

To date, the center has one campus in Jakarta, Indonesia and three campuses in the Philippines - one in Manila, one in Makati and its newly opened campus in Cebu.

Each campus houses a range of world-class training facilities, which includes state-of-the art kitchen laboratories, fine dining restaurants and bars, mock cruise cabins and hotel suite rooms, and more.

As an affiliate of one of the world's leading providers of skilled officers, crew members and service staff for the global shipping and cruise industries, the center does more than provide intensive training sessions in the classroom and on-the-job opportunities - as it also is in the position to endorse its graduates to manning companies after completing their courses.

The newly inaugurated Cebu campus of the Magsaysay Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts (MIHCA) is located at 128 F. Ramos Street, Cebu City. More information is at www.magsaysay.com.ph.
