Carnaval: One night in Rio

CEBU, Philippines – The time to let loose and party like never before is near! The spectacle and vibrance of Brazil are about to come to the charming shores of Cebu. Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu invites guests to "Carnaval: One Night in Rio." The festive extravaganza treats partygoers to music by celebrity DJ's Callum David and Jade Hartman, sensational performances by Brazilian showgirls and pole dancers, lively tempos by drumbeaters and a Capoeira exhibition.  Capoeira is the Afro-Brazilian martial art which combines fight, dance, rhythm and movement.

To further charge a weekend in paradise with Brazilian energy and vivacity, the event also features a fashion show of exotic Brazilian couture by Cebu's top fashion designers Jun Escario, Arcy Gayatin, Edwin Ao, Mary Ty, Barbie Alvez, Rei Escario, Bree Esplanada, Mique Yapching, Protacio Empaces and Philip Rodriguez.

"Carnaval: One Night in Rio" happens this Saturday, September 27, at The Marquee.  Doors open at 8 p.m. Partygoers are encouraged to come dressed in their best Rio-inspired outfits. Brazilian street food and free flowing Brazilian drinks are served.
