Farewell Dinner for OPS Volunteers

PEOPLE PLACES - Flor S. YNCLINO - The Freeman

After a successful medical mission by Operation Smile and the Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MSYCFI) a few weeks back, Chairman Kit Yueng and Hubby Carlos were only too gracious to host a big dinner bash (despedida) at their well-appointed home in Nivel Hills, the foremost purpose of which was to thank the volunteers for the splendiferous job they have done to the 180 underprivileged children with cleft lips and cleft palate, and others with facial deformities. This was the 16th time MSYCFI hosted this mission.

Some 200 guests (volunteers from abroad, Manila and local) enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie during the affair. From her heart, Mariquita specially thanked all the volunteers and promised to host next year's (and every year thereafter) medical mission scheduled for February, 2015.

And by the way, Monique Lhullier, an international designer was here during her parent's Golden Wedding anniversary and was named Ambassador of Operation Smile International. Monique, who went to see the site of the new CCMC with MSCYFI Chair Mariquita S. Yeung (she is one of the officers of Operation Smile International), promised to help CCMC's new hospital building. PTL!
