Shape up July

CEBU, Philippines - Health-conscious individuals can now live life to the fittest. They can start at fitness on weekends, if it's really impossible to do it more frequently. This month of July, a series of exciting physical activities to promote wellness takes place at the Banilad Town Center (BTC) to introduce the fun in keeping fit.

On July 19, Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., a complimentary total wellness checkup was conducted at the BTC lobby. Many people had their ideal weight and fat percentage determined by qualified fitness staff. There were also informative talks, done hourly starting at three p.m., on the "Basics of Nutrition and Exercise For Optimum Health," "The Benefits of Green Smoothies" by Mooshi, and "Tips and Tricks: No Equipment Full-Body Work-out." A 20-minute exercise to blast fat at 5:45 p.m. capped off the day. All activities were for free.

 On July 26, another fun-filled afternoon of fitness and nutrition happens. Again, a complimentary total wellness check-up and BMI analysis is set from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  There are also talks and demos, including the "Basics on Nutrition and Exercise for Optimum Health," "Fun and Easy Exercises at Home" and "Deskercise," amazing ways to exercise at work. The speakers are total wellness expert Lita Quisumbing, fitness and workout trainer Veronica Enriquez and juicing enthusiast and triathlete Jun Angeles.
