Cebu Style League

CEBU, Philippines - JT Gullas and Illeana Osmeña, two of 20 young Cebu achievers that comprise Aéropostale Cebu Style League, whose choice members are picked based on positive and active lifestyle, and their good standing among their peers.

JT Gullas is a basketball player, karter and fashion model, and is presently Grade 11 at the Centre for International Education. He's very comfortable in shorts, t-shirt and loafers.

Illeana Osmeña is an academic achiever and is a most valuable player at the International School Athletic Conference; she plays basketball and soccer. She likes Aéropostale's style of clothing because it's casual and there's something for everyone's taste. It's perfect for the weather conditions in the Philippines, too.

Tropical Fever

Those who went out in the summer surely had their fair share of tan lines and the smell of salt on their skin, or maybe they've had their hair cut and colored the way they've always wanted it. All of the items on the summer bucket list must have been crossed out by now because, sadly, the carefree summer months are officially over. The fun times, however, need not end with summer.

The home-grown clothing brand Loalde has released a new summer-inspired collection that perfectly captures the easy breezy vibe of the sunny season. With loose silhouettes, using sheer and lightweight fabrics like cotton and silk, it is perfect for the unpredictable Philippine weather. Functionality aside, Loalde's "Tropical Fever" embraces the Cebuano island spirit with tropical prints in bold colors.

The pieces may styled with colored bottoms and a hat for that complete escape ensemble. Or, they may be matched with blazers and heels to work. Either way, the eye-catching prints are bound to make a style statement.

Whether it is for work or for school, Loalde's "Tropical Fever" collection continues the radiance of summer. It's available at Loalde branches in Ayala Center Cebu and The Northwing at SM City Cebu. (FREEMAN)
