PSME Regional Confab in Cebu

The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) held a PSME Visayas Regional Conference spearheaded by the Unified Chapters of Cebu (UCC) with the able chairmanship of Engr. Reinerio J. Lastimoso and the full support of Engr. Josemarie Arib as Vice Chairman.

The 3-day conference was held on May 1-3, 2014 at the Sacred Heart Center along D. Jakosalem St., this city. First day activities were mostly registration of delegates and city tour in different tourist spots and important landmarks here in Cebu City.

On Day 2, PSME National President Engr. Ramon A. Picornell Jr. officially opened the conference proper. Pres. Picornell with the assistance of Chairman Lastimoso cut the ceremonial ribbon to signal the formal opening of exhibits of different engineering products displayed in several booths.

Speakers during the plenary session include Engrs. Vic Vosotros, Diosdado Ejercito, Ronald Galindo, Rogelio Q. Lim, Bernardo Terrobias, Federico Monsada, and Engr. Greg Senining, who is the national parliamentarian, explaining parliamentary procedures and introducing some PSME national board members.

Fellowship night was on the second day with a live band playing while some PSME officers and delegates enjoyed dancing with invited dance instructresses.

On the third day, the closing plenary focused mostly on workshops and presentations. Closing remarks was delivered by PSME Pres. Picornell while recapitulation and official closing of the regional conference was done by the conference Chairman Engr. Reinerio Lastimoso
