Aéro Jam

Yasunari Ramon Suarez Taguchi - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The Gallery of the Ayala Center Cebu was vivid with flair on May 23, where the stylish and adventurous converged for Aéro Jam - a fashion-meets-music event celebrating the launch of Aéropostale in Cebu.

Headlining the occasion was the introduction of the Aéropostale Cebu Style League - a group of young, talented, and well-rounded Cebuanos who exude Aéropostale's operational philosophies of adventure, achievement and dedication.

Sharing the catwalk with Manila's top fashion models, the members of the Aéropostale Cebu Style League wore select pieces comprising Aéropostale's Spring/Summer 2014 collection - effectively putting the spotlight on their individual sense of style, matched by the brand's chic and preppy selection of apparel and accessories.

The pulsating mixes of Manila's DJ Nix Damn P also complemented the celebration's color and energy, as the award-winning Up Dharma Down capped the evening with live performances of the band's smashing hits.

Established in 1987 in New York, Aéropostale has built a solid following as a specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, with a strong presence in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Peru, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Panama, and the Philippines.

Exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. in the Philippines, the recently opened Aéropostale store in the Ayala Center Cebu's new expansion is the sixth in the country; the first outside of Manila.

The Aéropostale Cebu Style League is composed of:

Fitness and sports enthusiast Alyssa Sacal; future architect, scuba diver and ballerina Arisa Onozawa; soccer player, budding artist, and model Gabi Woolbright Darza; International School Activities Conference (ISAC) MVP and academic achiever Illeana Osmeña; No. 4-ranked tennis player in the Philippines in the girls under 16 category Jana Pages; jetskiing beachcomber Katalin Ugarte; chemistry graduate and corporate executive Nicole Li; Miss Cesafi 2013, soccer mid-fielder and student council secretary Nikki Tilka; varsity soccer team captain and volleyball player Phoebe Smith; Basketball power forward, soccer goalkeeper and Yellow Boat of Hope volunteer Reona Ido; basketball and volleyball varsity team player and aid volunteer Alex Osmeña; multi-awarded Autocross racer and sports enthusiast David Lim Jr.; Basketball and soccer varsity player and 'well-rounded student awardee' James Lotzof; Cebu's four-time karter of the year and Macau Grand Prix Asian Karting Open Champion Jette Calderon; Basketball player, karter and model JT Gullas; student council president, accomplished debater and budding artist Julian Cobonpue; architecture student Kenzo Canizares; school leader, entrepreneur and altruist Marcko Durano; Multi-awarded Cebu debate team captain, Philippine debate team member and football player Mikkel Neri and United Football League Player Tom Booth.
