Looking Back

CEBU, Philippines - As we continue to celebrate the season of the sun, sand and splash, let me look back on the many celebrations, personal milestones and colourful events that graced the previous month.

March opened with a last-minute baby shower for Phoebe Gayle Cabatingan as the Cruz-Cabatingan brood awaits their newest member. It was such a timely celebration as four days later that Sunday, baby Maggie said hi to the world. I myself could not wait to play with my little niece!

While I managed to juggle work and daily visits to the beach, I had extra time to revisit Cebu's nocturnal scenes with my virgin encounter with the Cellar Door. This latest addition to the City Times Square watering holes dishes out great chows, a diverse variety of gulps and the perfect in-house music to boot. Yes, I did go back for seconds and then some more.

Finally, amidst all the surrounding events I was able to pull my usual Binibining Pilipinas viewing party with the usual pageant fanatics. This time, we added in a picnic and some karaoke prior the live telecast. Yes, everyone went home with delighted satisfaction not only of the pageant results but also with more than the expected fun.
