Aboitizland - 20 years nurturing communities

In the context of real estate, the core of every developer is to create environments that help communities flourish, to sustain the value of customer's investments and to ensure properties sustain quality of life and productivity. The company was launched in June 1994 as Acoland, a division of Metaphil, one of the biggest industrial contractors in the country. Then came its first residential project - North Town Homes in Cabancalan, Mandaue City. After North Town Homes, Acoland developed Mactan Economic Zone II (MEZ II). From thence, the establishment of West Cebu Industrial Park in Balamban and the opening of two-hectare Pueblo Verde commercial neighborhood within MEZ, Lapulapu City.

In 200 Acoland became Aboitizland. In the same year, the upscale Garden Ridge Village was launched in a joint venture with Ayala Land. Mahogany Grove in Mandaue City, Brisa and Molave Highlands in Consolacion followed in the heels of the successful North Town and Garden Ridge. After which, the company launched its first integrated community - Pristina North in 2005.

Aboitizland then moved south, to Talisay City, and launched the 15-hectare Kishanta; the Persimmon, dubbed as Cebu's first urban village, followed suit in 2008. Ajoya was enhanced with the launched of its house and lot component in 2010. A more expansive upscale community Priveya Hills was opened in 2012. And last year, Aboitizland introduced Almiya, another mid-market village.

As it expands nationally and takes more ambitious projects, Aboitizland maintains its position in Cebu as the trusted, homegrown real estate developer… creating, assuring, enduring and nurturing communities!

From Mrs. Felisa Y. Chiongbian, Chairman of Georich Foundation, Inc., comes this very interesting news regarding the Foundation's special summer class starting this April 14, 2012.

Duly approved by the Banilad Center for Professional Development (BCPD), an institution accredited by TESDA which provides one- to two-year course in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Service, BCPD is now offering summer classes for women.

Training dates are: Basic Housekeeping - April 25, 1-5 p.m.; Basic Cooking and Basic Baking - May 5. Fee for each class is P3,000/person. Culminating activity/graduation is May 24, Saturday, from 1-5 p.m.

According to Mrs. Elizabeth Lopes, director of BCPD, they can accommodate 120 scholars or more. Thus, the Foundation is hoping and praying that many will be interested to donate and sponsor qualified scholars.

"Summer Solstice" on Friday, April 11

A fashion show titled "Summer Solstice" and featuring the Spring/Summer 2014 collections of the Fashion Council of Cebu (FCC) has been scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, April 11 at The Gallery of the Ayala Center Cebu expansion. The show starts at 6:30 p.m., to be preceded by cocktails at 6 p.m.

FCC is composed of Cebu's premier fashion designers, including Philip Rodriguez, Arcy Gayatin, Jun Escario, Edwin Ao, Oj Hofer, Philipp Tampus, Yvonne Quisumbing, Ditas Rodriguez, Albert Arriba, and Cary Santiago.

"Summer Solstice" is promised to be a fantastic show. It is a collaborative project between Ayala Center Cebu and the Fashion Council of Cebu.
