CEBU, Philippines - SM Malls, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), will officially launch the "My City, My SM, My Crafts" campaign on March 26 at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu.

As a celebration of traditional arts and contemporary Philippine design, the campaign is set towards highlighting the best of the best of Philippine crafts of different host cities - providing opportunities for business and linkages, apart from being an effective platform for cultural exchange.Highlighting exhibitions, workshops and competitions, the Cebu run of "My City, My SM, My Crafts" will showcase unique fashion accessories by Sepa, world-class furniture pieces by Janice Minor, and functional art pieces by Bon Ace.

Crafts manufactured by Avatar, jewelry pieces and bags by Ferimar, furniture and home furnishings by Co-Creative Studio's Paula and Vikki Rodriguez, and decorative accessories by Arden Classic will also be showcased during the campaign's Cebu run.

Headlining Cebu's "My City, My SM, My Crafts" are the latest creations of Kenneth Cobonpue - who was recently chosen as the first Maison Et Objet Asian Designer of the Year, with the Maison Et Object widely viewed to be the foremost French trade fair for furniture and interior design.

Apart from being a venue for established industry names, the campaign also encourages and supports upcoming talents though a jewelry-making competition that will be participated by Fine Arts students hailing from different universities in Cebu.

Supported by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, "My City, My SM, My Crafts" will run until April 6. (FREEMAN)
