CEBU, Philippines - Another batch of skilled students from Benedicto College Technical Vocational School graduated last November 15.
Over 305 students gathered at the school's Artists' Hall and received their National Certificate of Training during the 4th Graduation Day Celebration.
The graduation was for students in different short-term courses such as Housekeeping, Welding, Plumbing, Bartending and Automotive.
According to Ma. Antonette Ocampo, a scholar of 6th District Rep. Luigi Quisumbing, she was fortunate enough to become a graduate of Benedicto College.
"Before I graduated high school, I wanted to take culinary. But then, culinary school here in Cebu is very expensive. Then, I was able to find out about this opportunity and it's really a blessing to me," Ocampo said.
"Right now, I'm having my own business. That's why I'm so thankful that I was able to know the skills in cooking," she added.
School Director Ranulfo L. Visaya and school supervisor Joey D. Cortes also expressed their gratitude to the graduates, saying they are very proud to produce another batch of students who were armed with skills and knowledge.
Over the past years, the school has produced several graduates who are now working abroad.
