A spark of hope

CEBU, Philippines - When Charmaine Ong was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, her family's business went on hiatus for six months while she sought medical treatment in the U.S.

Now, they're back in business in time for  the Holidays, sharing the message of hope to their valued clients through Christmas themed decors of 10-inch mini Christmas brush trees spruced up with glitters and teeny-tiny fun decors in various kinds (there are fruits, Disney characters and Christmas icons); musical mini Christmas trees; topiarie trees table decors in pots and wood stands; as well as handcrafted napkin rings, wine glass charms, table napkins, and table runners.

"There's hope," enthused Linda Ong, doting mother of Charmaine. This is the reason why after four years of not being able to manufacture a whole new Christmas line of the vast array of products under Tropical Souvenirs International, 2013 is the year to go Christmasy again. This year, Christmas for the Ongs is different because of the firm belief that hope springs eternal.

"We can definitely customize the Christmas trees according to clients' specifications," said Linda.
