Bibendum Wines Wine Tasting

It was interesting to note that a lot of Cebuanos are now wine connoisseurs. This was attested during the wine tasting of Bibendum Wines at their shop in MLD Building along Banilad row recently.

Yes, in attendance were a good mix of Cebu’s social set who are also wine lovers, enthusiasts, and collectors, as well as media and patrons of Bibendum Wines.

You see, a selection of about 20 of Bibendum Wines’ premium wines from their American and French portfolio were up for tasting last August, and paired with cheeses and finger food from Café Georg. Some of the night’s top picks included the soft citrusy 2008 Hawk Crest Chardonnay from Monterey, the pleasant and fruity 2007 Chateau Barbeuranne Reserve Tradition Rose from Provence, and the aromatic 2010 Chateau Sta Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon Indian Wells from the US. The night’s highest rated selections, however, were the vibrant yet supple 2009 Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon from California’s Napa Valley and the smooth 2009 Chateau Brassac from Bordeaux. Congratulations, guys!
