Puppy love

CEBU, Philippines - In exchange for the love and pleasure dogs give to families, show them some lovin’.

Caring for a dog entails a lot of responsibility. Since you are a dog owner, you will be the sole provider of your dog’s dietary and social needs. You also need to be prepared to train your pet.

Puppy Care

Taking care of a puppy requires a different approach. Just like babies, puppies need special attention. Encourage your puppy to interact with the world around him/her because they need socialization. It involves exposing your puppy to as many things as possible. Most well-socialized puppies are easier to care of because they tend to exhibit better behavior.

Feeding

Proper attention to your dog’s diet is also important. It may be tempting to purchase an inexpensive low-quality dog food formula but remember that this can result to negative effects to your dog’s health. It’s always recommended to feed the dog with high-quality dog food formula that is balanced to ensure proper digestion. It is also best to avoid dog food that contains chemical flavorings, artificial preservatives and colors since these can harm your dog.

Exercise

Adequate level of exercise is a must. It is important that you incorporate exercise into your dog’s daily routine. An exercise may be a 30 minute walk or a session of playtime.

Grooming

Dogs need to be groomed at least twice a week. Some long-haired dogs require frequent grooming. Check your dog’s eyes, ears, teeth and nails during the grooming process.

In line with taking care of your dog, it also important to bond with your dog outside your house. It is one way to establishing a good rapport and relationship with your pet.

The event was attended by many pet owners together with their dogs. Pet owners attended the seminar on “How to Play with Your Dog” and participated at the parade around the property. The event was for free.
