Launch of the Second Qube Gallery
The Second Qube Gallery was launched last June 19 at the Henry Hotel in Paseo Saturnino, Ma. Luisa Road, Banilad (formerly occupied by Virus boutique and beside Salon Lohas).
In attendance during the launch was a good combination of Cebu’s social set who are art collectors, patrons of the arts, friends from the lifestyle and business media, the artists themselves and of course, their admirers.
The featured artists in Dos X Dos included Jericho Valjusto Vamenta, Peter Fatinaglo, Gromyko Padilla Semper, Ronald Ventura, Reneboy Chona, Lester Amacio, Mariano Catague, Chris Gomez, Jesus Najarro, Robert Gonzales, Buboy Buenaventura, Nomar Miano and Gualberto Licong; and Cebu artists Palmy Pe Tudtud, Javy Villacin, Sio Montera, Joshua Cabrera, Radel Paredes, Marvin Natural and Darby Alcoseba, among others. A total of 36 works were on display.
Aside from the first Qube Gallery in Persimmon Plus mall in Mabolo, Jon Kenneth Gotiong and Maris Holopainen Hadaway also manage art displays at the airport. The CAP display, however, will be closed down soon. The first Qube Gallery (in Persimmon Plus) is now devoted to emerging artists while the second Qube Gallery (at the Henry Hotel) will exhibit established VisMin artists.
