Taste the exotic this summer
MANILA, Philippines - So, what’s the taste of Summer 2013?
San Miguel Pale Pilsen believes it to be exotic, and that is why this year’s Sarap Mag Babad promo, the country’s leading beer brand is bringing exotic pulutans to beer drinkers in select food destinations in the country, including Larsian here in Cebu.
The promo, which started last March 15 and to last the whole summer season, would have daring beer aficionados try out specially concocted wild pulutans in a game called the “Wildest Pulutan Challenge.†And yes, when they say wild, they mean wild.
At the launch of the campaign in Cebu early this month, select members of the media got a taste of some of these wildest pulutan, including Crocodile Curry, Balut Omelette, Kalderetang Conejo, Pinausukang Crispy Duck Esophagus, Dinugu-ang Baboy Ramu Longganisa, and the Tokwa’t Langgam, the last one, by the way, is not included in the list.
Other items included in the menu, but was not presented to the media are Silk Worm Mixed Nuts, Cow Seed, Stuffed Batute (frog), Piniritong Utak ng Baka, and Binawang na Lingam ng Baka.
For all six areas where San Miguel Pale Pilsen will be bringing these exotic tastes of summer, a total of P300,000 cash prize will be given away for the weekly winners. In Cebu, this will happen in Larsian every Friday.
Plus aside from the contest, those who will order six, 12, or 24 bottles of San Miguel Pale Pilsen will also get free pulutan in the Pulutan Blowout. That’s for the Babad areas, but aside from the identified areas, there will also be participating convenience and sari-sari stores in Visayas and Mindanao who will give out free cans of Purefood Sisig for the purchase of San Miguel Pale Pilsen.
