Senior Citizens & Inner Wheel Girls

The Cebu City Senior Citizens Alliance, led by its founding chairman Dodong Casenillo and Engr. Edgar Batiquin, CCSCA President North District, celebrated their belated Valentine’s party with a Search for the King & Queen of Hearts last February 28 at Baseline Restaurant. Attendees were some prominent guests led by Congressman Tommy Osmeña and former Congressman Raul del Mar.

The affair was highlighted by a coronation of the King & Queen of Hearts. And would you believe…entertainment was the presentation of a dance number by a group of senior citizens with vocal renditions, too. The dance floor was filled with dancing couples who enjoyed the ballroom music and songs of yesteryears played until the late hours of the night.

Meanwhile, the former members of the now defunct Inner Wheel Club of Cebu South had lunch with former member Elaine Tan when she was here visiting her family, husband Billy and daughter Athena Casas. Yes, over lunch at the Quest Hotel, Elaine was quite happy to see her former colleagues. Now, a permanent resident of Seattle, Washington, USA, Elaine comes every once in a while when she misses her loved ones!
