Christmas Tree Lighting ceremonies (Part II)

Sarossa International Hotel

CEBU, Philippines -  In line with the hotel's new tagline, Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites set alight its Christmas Tree laden with Capiz parols that symbolize its commitment to give back to the community.

The 15-foot Christmas tree was decorated with different sizes of parols in Christmas colors and made of elegant Capiz shells. Each parol represents a commitment to help the hotel's chosen charitable institution, as guests were invited and encouraged to buy a parol costing P100 to P300.

This year, the proceeds will be used to support the Department of Social Welfare and Development's training, vocational, and livelihood programs for People with Disabilities (PWD).

Heading the ceremony was Sarrosa International Hotel's new president, Mr. Jefferson Tan.

Another highlight of the evening was the launch of the hotel's new tagline, "A Hotel with a Heart," further strengthening its pledge not just to provide a venue for events, meetings, incentives, and seminars, or great rooms and excellent service to its guests, but also to serve Cebu and the less fortunate through outreach programs.

Children's Joy Foundation, which caters to neglected and abandoned children, and the Cebu Home for the Blind were but some of the groups who performed for the guests.

And to cap the evening, the property recognized its top clients, mostly government agencies like the Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of Health, and DSWD with plaques of appreciation.

Truly bringing joy to many, Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites did not just light a tree of love this Christmas season, it also sparked the light that will give hope to many Cebuanos with special needs.  (FREEMAN)
