"Along with experiencing quality prints from Canon printers and inks, buyers will also be enjoying the perks that they can keep for themselves or give them away as Christmas gifts," she added.

To avail of the promo, users must provide the following: a photocopy of the receipt or sales invoice of the printer or ink purchase dated within the promo period, the ink box with the Canon Marketing Philippines clear-to-cyan sticker, the serial number box cutout of the printer with the CMP clear-to-cyan sticker, and the user's details - name, contact number, and address.  Inks and printers do not need to be purchased on the same day or from the same store as long as both purchases are within the promo period.

Redemption period is from November 1, 2012 to March 30, 2013.

Meanwhile, it was learned that Canon Pixma sustains its post as the top inkjet printer brand for Q1-Q3 in 2012 here in the country.

Says Ryan Esguerra, who heads Canon's Visayas regional office, the International Data Corporation recently announced that "Canon Pixma Printers is the Philippine's No. 1 Inkjet Printer Brand from January to September of 2012 based on unit sales."

IDC said that Canon dominated the inkjet printer industry for the previous three quarters of 2012, commanding a market share of 45 percent. Aside from leading in the whole industry composed of SFP (Single Function Printers) and MFP (Multi Function Printers), Canon Pixma topped the SFP category with a staggering 51 percent share. Likewise, in the MFP category, it rules by grabbing an impressive 40 percent share.

Total sales of Canon Pixma printers for Q1-Q3 this year grew by eight percent versus the same period in 2011.

Esguerra pointed out that this is significant considering that other major players in the industry posted declines in sales versus the previous year and total industry declined by -17 percent.

The Canon Pixma iP2770 Single Function Printer (Suggested Retail Price: PhP2,195) known for its quality, versatility and affordability was also the top selling Single Function Printer for the first three quarters of 2012.   The Canon Pixma MP287 (SRP: PhP3,495) and the Pixma E500 (SRP:PhP3,995) also came out as the top selling multi-function printers for the same period of time.

"Aside from adding value to Christmas shopping money, we want to delight our customers further with our premium products as a way of thanking them for making us number one again," Esguerra added.

Esguerra also stressed that while they all recognize that the growth of Pixma this year can be attributed to the synergy and aggressiveness of their sales, marketing and service support to push products, they can't do away with the fact that Canon owe it all to its customers who have trusted the name more than the other brands in this industry.

Moreover, Canon Pixma launched recently the marketing campaign "More, More Ways to Stand Out" which highlighted the bestselling Canon Pixma E500 and Canon Pixma E510, the low cost all-in-one printer of Canon. (FREEMAN)
