Today marks the grandiose celebration…the wedding of Martin Philip Yeung, only son of Hong Kong-based business tycoon Carlos Yeung and Mariquita Yeung to Claudio de Souza, daughter of Mrs. Maria Vilany Bezerra, at rites to be solemnized by Archbishop Jose Palma at 1:30 this afternoon at the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

Leading the A-List of prominent principal sponsors is Vice President Jejomar Binay with wife Madame Elenita Binay.

A cocktail reception and dinner will follow at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino at 6pm.

It was lunchtime when Shangri-La Mactan Resort & Spa invited some Lifestyle scribes to savor the new menu of Tea of Spring. After years of serving their Chinese menus, this time, the All-New Tea of Spring menu was presented to the media. And bingo, everything was sooo good and delicious. The new dishes served us were: Crispy aromatic duck served with sour plum sauce, Deep friend duck meat with aged pu-erh tea; Rolled shredded carrots and radish; Crispy bean curd with osmanthus oolong tea leaves; Steamed scallops and Japanese bean curd with black bean sauce; Deep fried prawns with mango salad; Wok-fried pork spare ribs with fragrant minced garlic; Mushroom flowers; Tea of Spring fried rice with XO sauce; and Black glutinous rice with ice cream.

Breezing into town was our friend Roy Abraham, former GM of Cebu City Marriott Hotel who is actually the current General Manager of Guam Marriott Resort & Spa.

Over lunch at the Garden Café, Roy was so excited to tell us all about his stint in Guam. He has been assigned in Guam Marriott for a year now and he's looking forward to stay in the island a little longer.
