Jennie drops first studio album ‘Ruby’

CEBU, Philippines — Global superstar Jennie has released her highly anticipated first studio album “Ruby” via ODDATELIER/Columbia Records.

Co-produced by Jennie, “Ruby” features her latest single “like Jennie” as well as released tracks “ExtraL” ft. Doechii, “Mantra”, “ZEN” and “Love Hangover” ft. Dominic Fike. The 15-song sonic experience also features collaborations with Childish Gambino, Dua Lipa, FKJ and Kali Uchis. The album explores a variety of genres and showcases Jennie truly stepping into her own as a global force.

She shared, “This album holds great significance as it tells my story as a solo artist through my own voice and vision. Inspired by Shakespeare's play, ‘As You Like It’, it captures themes of birth, love, faith, and zenith. The opening of the theater curtains symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter in my musical career. Working on this album was a precious process of growing as an artist and finding my true voice.”

Jennie also released an official video for “like Jennie,” featuring electrifying choreography that matches the track’s energy. “like JENNIE” made its global broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and across MTV’s global network of channels, as well as on the Paramount Times Square billboards.

“Ruby” will be offered digitally as well as in various physical configurations including two photobooks, a CD digipack, and a Target exclusive CD digipack. All physical products include a special Jennie Only Audio version of the album which contains all vocals performed by Jennie and does not include any featured artists.

To celebrate the release of “Ruby”, Jennie performed in a few intimate shows, and will be making her solo Coachella debut where she will have prominent sets on Sunday of both weekends.

Later this month, Jennie will be honored at Billboard’s Women In Music event as the 2025 Global Force honoree taking place on March 29 at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood.
