CEBU, Philippines — Three Cebuanas are vying for titles at Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2024, the first Cebu-based national pageant which will hold its finals this October in Manila.
Unveiled at a media presentation and official sashing in Acacia Hotel Manila were 45 candidates that included Rhaine Baric Baylon of Cebu City, Rhonalyn Porsuelo Lavaraz of Carmen, and Thea Cabatingan Arenosa of Liloan.
The rest of the contenders are Jazmyn Rose Yu (Calamba Laguna), Jea Orag Jugarap (Siargao Island), Jocel Nicole Zapanta (Isulan, Sultan Kudarat), Josiela Mar Ciray Lagrimas (Laoang, Northern Samar), Karla Majam (Santa Rosa, Laguna), Kathlia Denica (Masbate Province), Keana Ysabel Macuja (Makati City), Kyla Mae Mendoza (Calaca City, Batangas), Laila Temporada Prathumma (Carmen, Davao del Norte), Leny Rose Bata-anon Castillon (General Santos City), Ma. Louise Franchesca Uy (Bulacan Province), Ma. Micaela Jean Legarda (Muntinlupa City), Marela Glospeah Caro Juaman (Koronadal City), Maria Isabel Pelayo (Davao City), and Mary Ella Menguito Llanes (Agusan del Sur).
Also making this years cut were Alexandra Nicole Ton-ogan Orquia (Sultan Kudarat), Alyssa Bela Gomosung Suarez (Trinidad, Bohol), Ana Leah Narlo (Montalban, Rizal), Carly Jane Lanit Chua (Davao del Sur), Chelsea Faith Cortez Flora (Bohol Province), Christine Jorelle Fortinez Usaraga (La Union Province), Chrstine Rose Basilisco (Laguna Province), Clara Nodesca Michelena (South Cotabato), Dainnelle Louise Pandinuela (Rizal Province), Desiree Paz Rey Dasal (Southern Leyte), Eleanor Hazel Tagacay Lavador (North Cotabato), Ellen Tuscano (Albay Province), Estephanie Gaebnelle Ladignon (Pandacan, Manila), Ishie Molina Inocelda (Saragani Province), and Jasmine Paguio (Manila)
Rounding out the candidates are Megan Julia Roa Digal (Mati City, Davao Oriental), Mereyl Templor del Puerto (Cagayan De Oro), Prima Joy Alamban (Malabon City), Rebekah Cail Colina Celis (Digos City, Davao del Sur), Reina Marie Berdera Sazon (San Franciso, Agusan del Sur), Rhona Lalaine Lopez (Pangasinan Province), Samantha Marifile (Davao Oriental), Shania Monica Sanchez Altamera (Surigao del Sur), Shelette Ann Samonte (Para aque City), Sheryl Velez (Mandaluyong City), Sofia Nina Coinejo (Northern Samar), and Trisha Irish Marie Rosales (Cavite Province).
