Allen Dizon is ‘The Battered Husband’ in new flick
According to award-winning actor Allen Dizon, his role as Olan in the upcoming drama flick “The Battered Husband” is one of his most challenging so far.
“I allowed my wife to abuse me physically, emotionally and psychologically. I am not like that in real life. I never laid a hand on my wife and I won’t let anyone hurt me,” said Allen.
The actor said that most battered husbands, due to their macho image, won’t admit being hurt by their wives. They hide the truth, just like what his character does in the movie.
Allen has emerged as one of the best actors of his generation. It was the desire to showcase his talent that inspired Allen to be an actor. Of course, he also wants to be famous, earn his keep, and have a stable career.
“The hardest or toughest part of being an actor is how to stay long in the business. We are not getting any younger and there are a lot of new actors coming in. The competition is getting stiff. We need to reinvent ourselves and show versatility,” Allen explains.
Ralston Rover, who directed “The Battered Husband”, gave Allen his first acting award in an A-List film festival (Warsaw International Film Festival in Poland) for “Bomba” (The Bomb).
“Direk Ralston is a very cool director. He doesn’t like his stars to over-act but he wants a sincere and affecting performance. In ‘The Battered Husband’, he always reminds me to be focused and study the complexity of my character.”

Some people are are asking why it’s necessary for “The World Between Us” to have a season break when it just started airing. The GMA series features Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Tom Rodriguez.
According to a GMA source, the restrictions imposed to tapings during ECQ necessitated the break. They cannot have a continuous taping schedule because of the production restrictions.
“We have to be mindful of everyone’s safety during the taping. We cannot afford to put our stars and production staff at risk. We have to secure their safety, hence the need to follow safety protocols.”
It will be a big problem if anyone of the cast members or from the production team will get sick because it will affect everyone in the show if that happens. So it is better to be safe at all times.
