‘Since I Found You’ begins Monday

STAR CIRCUIT - Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

A new love story featuring completely diverse people who are all looking for love will pump up the summer heat in ABS-CBN’s newest primetime series “Since I Found You,” which will premiere this Monday, April 16 on Primetime Bida.

Viewers are up for a fresh kind of kilig every night as Kapamilya stars Arci Muñoz, Alessandra de Rossi, JC De Vera, Empoy Marquez and Piolo Pascual team up for the first time to bring romance-drama back on primetime.

The show marks the ultimate heartthrob’s return to primetime as he plays Nathan, an accomplished businessman and the boss of the country’s leading construction company. Despite his good looks and charisma, his employees are terrified of his tough facade and leadership style.

He then meets Dani (Arci), a reliable daughter to her parents, who does her practicum at Nathan’s company. Despite having a tough time with her job, Ginno (JC), Nathan’s career-driven assistant, will guide her and make sure she gets her work done.

Also joining the series is the box-office love team of Alempoy, fresh from the success of their hit movie “Kita Kita.” Alessandra plays Janice, the boss’s secretary, who works hard for her family and her son. Empoy, meanwhile, portrays James, the company driver and the life of the party, who always makes sure everybody gets a good laugh with his antics.

They all come from different walks of life, but love will intertwine their completely distinct lives. As Dani falls for her boss Nathan, Ginno will find himself already having feelings for Dani. But aside from Dani, Janice also finds love in Nathan, and disregards James’ feelings for her.

Also part of “Since I Found You” are Carmi Martin, John Lapus, Vivoree Esclito, Isabel Oli, Cholo Barretto and Michael de Mesa.

The series is produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and directed by box-office director Antoinette Jadaone.

Don’t miss the premiere of “Since I Found You” on Primetime Bida on ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN HD (SkyCable ch 167).

Congratulations to Alden Richards and GMA Network. The docu-drama he did titled “Alaala: A Martial Law Special,” which was directed by

Adolf Alix, Jr., won the World Silver Prize at the New York TV Festival.

This a big honor, not only for Alden, but also for the GMA-7 News and Public Affairs team who produced the documentary.

Alden played the role of writer-activist Boni Ylagan in the award-winning docu. He was able to accept the award personally since he attended the event where he was asked to be an awards presenter.

“Thank you to New York Film Festivals for this recognition,” was the actor’s post in his Twitter account.

The fans of the Pambansang Bae are rejoicing for this accolade for Alden. After doing two successful shows in the United States and Canada for the Filipino community together with his fellow Kapuso talents, comes this award from the prestigious New York TV and Film Festival.

On the part of Direk Adolf, he congratulated Alden and thanked him for accepting the role in “Alaala.”

Congratulations to Derrick Monasterio, Barbie Forteza, director Louie Ignacio and BG Productions head Ms. Baby F. Go for the successful premiere of “Almost a Love Story” last Tuesday.

The fans of Derrick and Barbie came in full force. They were quick to react to the many kilig-filled scenes in the movie. But they also became quiet and reserved when the movie became dramatic.

Acting-wise, Derrick was indeed a revelation. He was photographed very well as he was very good-looking in all of his scenes. Of course, his fans went giddy when he showed his abs.

For Barbie, the “Inday Will Always Love You” star proved her acting mettle once more. She is really good both in her comic and drama scenes. She and Derrick do have palpable chemistry.

Michael V renewed his contract with GMA Network last April 4. The contract signing was witnessed by top GMA Network executives led by its president and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon.

Bitoy has been with GMA-7 for 23 years now and he values the support and trust that the network has given him. He remains as the creative director of “Bubble Gang” which is now on its 23rd year. His other show “Pepito Manaloto” is now on its ninth year and his new show, “Lip Sync Battle Philippines,” just started its third season.

He said he has nothing more to hope for in his career with GMA. But his dream is to have the entire “Bubble Gang” cast members be part of the gag show’s creative team as well.

“I don’t have the monopoly of good ideas that’s why I encourage the ‘Bubble Gang’ cast to share their ideas so that we can come up with new segments and make the show even better,” said the actor-comedian.
