2015’s highest-paid TV actresses
CEBU, Philippines - Sofia Vergara and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting tied for first place on Forbes’ list of highest-paid TV actresses, earning a whopping $28.5 million each in 2015.
This is the fourth consecutive year Vergara has gone home with the most dough of any actress on TV, primarily because of her starring role as the larger-than-life Gloria on “Modern Family.” Last year Cuoco-Sweeting negotiated a reported $1 million per episode salary for her role on “The Big Bang Theory,” which naturally equaled big bucks for the blond beauty.
This year’s list welcomes both rookies and veterans to the ultra-elite club of Hollywood’s wealthiest, including Vergara’s TV daughter-in-law Julie Bowen, who snagged the second spot with a $12 million paycheck.
Bones’ Emily Deschanel earned $6.5 million, Pauley Perrette raked in $6 million for her role on “NCIS” and “House of Cards” actress Robin Wright earned $5.5 million.
TV mainstays included Ellen Pompeo, Mariska Hargitay, Julianna Margulies, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, Kerry Washington, Patricia Heaton, Tina Fey and Zooey Deschanel, who each earned between $11.5 and $5 million between June 1, 2014, and June 1, 2015.
In addition to money made from their respective TV appearances, Forbes included paydays from endorsement deals and appearance fees. (FREEMAN)
