CEBU, Philippines – TV host Mariel Rodriguez is pregnant with twins, her husband, actor Robin Padilla, revealed on Saturday.
Robin posted an image of Mariel’s ultrasound results on Instagram with the caption: “Maria and Juan de Padilla In Sha Allah God Willing.” The image shows two sonagrams side by side.
His Instagram post indicated that he was at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa, where Mariel had been posting her own Instagram messages since Wednesday.
Robin, 45, and Mariel, who will turn 31 on August 10, are Muslims who got married at the Taj Mahal almost five years ago. Last March, a devastated Mariel revealed to social media that she had been pregnant for eight weeks with their first child but had a miscarriage.
The couple went on a lengthy vacation in Europe recently, partly so Robin could trace the Padilla family roots in Spain.
They had been together until last week when they parted ways in Cote d’Azur in France and Mariel flew home without him. On Tuesday, she posted a photo of Robin sightseeing alone on a rocky beach in Praia do Costelo de Queijo in Portugal.
