Dawn marks a first in ‘The Love Affair’
The trailer of the forthcoming Star Cinema film “The Love Affair,” featuring the tandem of Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, plus Bea Alonzo, has been creating a buzz among movie enthusiasts. The film, which marks the directorial debut of Nuel Naval, is being touted as the biggest and most-awaited romantic drama of the season.
People’s curiosities have been piqued, and they’ve been talking about Dawn’s role as the unfaithful wife who engages in an affair with her husband’s best friend. This is the first time Dawn is essaying such a role, and she said it was worth sinking her teeth into. During the movie’s story conference, it was explained to her how her character will progress. The veteran actress found beauty in playing the role of a wife who cheated on her husband and is seeking forgiveness.
One scene in the trailer that really caught people’s attention was when Richard touched Dawn’s bosom during a heated argument when her husband learned she was cheating on him. Dawn said it was no big deal for her since she recognized how important it was to the story. In the said scene, Goma’s character was fuming mad at her when he learned Dawn slept with no less than his best friend.
There were no violent reactions from their respective partners – Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez and Congressman Antonio Lagdameo – since they both understand that doing intimate scenes are sometimes necessary for certain roles.
“We are professional actors and we do what we feel is right for a role,” said the lovely Dawn, who has maintained her beauty all these years.
The tandem of Dawn and Richard has withstood the test of time and even if they didn’t end up with each other, they remain good friends to this day. They have their own set of loyal fans who adored them and followed their careers, and were overjoyed when ABS-CBN revived the Dawn-Goma tandem via the hit TV series “Walang Hanggan.” They also had a guest appearance in the hit movie “She’s Dating the Gangster.”

Bea Alonzo, who plays a pivotal role in “The Love Affair,” recently explained rumors that all is not well between her and boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo.
“I am okay. Zanjoe and I are okay and yes, we are going through something. But all of us, at one time or another, do experience going through rough times. But the most important thing is how you handle yourself after all the rough times. So we are working on it and we are both happy,” said Bea during the presscon of “The Love Affair.”
On the rumor that she went out with Paulo Avelino, Bea said that Zanjoe knew she went out with a group together with Paulo. She said it should not be made a big deal because she and Paulo have common friends and friends do go out together at times, don’t they?
Bea says it’s a big honor to be given the chance to work with Richard and Dawn. This the first big screen collaboration of the three talented performers whose chemistry will be tested on “A Love Affair,” opening nationwide on August 12.

Willie Revillame was among the stars feted by YES! Magazine, since the highest-selling issue in the entertainment publication’s 15 years of existence featured him on the cover.
The TV host had a lengthy acceptance speech, and even offered advice to fellow celebrities that they should save money and invest wisely while they are still earning well.
We have seen the highs and lows in Willie’s career. We saw his humble beginnings and saw him hit the big time via the show “Wowowin” which catapulted him to fame and national prominence. We saw his meteoric rise to fame and how his life improved because of his hard work.
That fame allowed him to amass a fortune. He was able to buy luxury cars, posh residential houses, a vacation house in Tagaytay, even a yacht and a private jet that he uses to transport him and his staff whenever and wherever he fancies.
He also mentioned how fleeting fortunes in showbiz could be. “If your show no longer rates or your show rates poorly, you certainly lose your show,” Willie said. But he declined to answer the rumor that his Sunday show in GMA-7 was axed and said that there will be an announcement about it on the days to come.
We heard that Willie wants to have a daily show but we don’t see how he can have that arrangement with GMA-7, because the network’s programming doesn’t have room for yet another daily program. Unless of course, GMA-7 decides to tweak its daily schedule in the Dramarama sa Hapon slot.
