Coco considers Julia Montes his real screen tandem

Coco Martin is reunited with Julia Montes in his newest TV project – “Wansapanataym Presents Yamishita’s Treasure,” and the actor says he considers Julia as his loveteam even if he had done projects with other actresses.

He also said that he is looking forward to working with other talented performers but he considers having a deep foundation as a loveteam with Julia since they have done several projects together including a movie and the top-rating show “Ikaw Lamang.”

“If you will ask me whom I consider as my loveteam, it’s really Julia,” said Coco at the presscon of the weekly fantasy series. But Coco admits he wants to be given the chance to work with other actresses like Sharon Cuneta who just returned to ABS-CBN. The Megastar likewise expressed her desire to work with him.

“When I learned that Ate Shawie is going back to ABS-CBN, I really expressed my desire to work with her. It’s my dream to work with her. I really hope that we can do a project together,” said Coco, who has won four best actor trophies for his work in “Ikaw Lamang.”

After working with Nora Aunor, he also voiced out his interest to work with Governor Vilma Santos. “I really learn a lot working with veteran stars. They are able to share with me many things. Besides, I want to take care of them on the set. I really treasure the fact that I had the chance to work with Nora Aunor, Eddie Garcia, Ms. Susan Roces, Kris Aquino and Tirso Cruz and I really wish to be given the chance to work with Ate Shawie and Governor Vilma Santos,” added Coco.

“Yamishita’s Treasure” marks the third time for Coco and Julia to work together. Among the episodes of “Wansapanataym,” this has the biggest budget with its stellar cast. It will run for three months.

Also in the cast are Bing Loyzaga, Arron Villaflor, Angel Aquino, Nonie Buencamino, Ryan Bang, Marian Flores, and Alonzo Muhlach. It starts airing on March 22.

Carmina Villaroel admits she got nervous when her love scene with Paulo Avelino for “Bridges of Love” was shot. This is the first time that she is playing the role of a woman who fell in love with a younger man and she considers it a big challenge.

But she corrects the impression that the scene is very daring and provocative. “Kung ano lang naman ang nararapat ay yun lang naman ang ginawa namin sa eksena pero just the same I felt nervous,” said Carmina at the thanksgiving presscon given by their manager Dolor Guevara last Tuesday together with Zoren Legaspi and Eric Quizon.

She seldom does love scenes onscreen most especially when she and Zoren had their twins Mavy and Cassy. She knows that Zoren doesn’t like her doing such scenes but both of them understand that it is part of their job as actors. “So para di kami maapektuhan sa mga ganitong eksena, hindi na lang namin ito pinapanood sa kanila. But I know my limitations. And our children know that if ever we do such scenes, they understand that it is just work,” said Carmina.

“I am thankful they gave me the role of Alexa since I feel young, feeling bagets because for a change, I am not playing a mother role. Paulo is very nice to work with and he made me feel comfortable when we did the love scene,” she added.

“Bridges of Love” starts airing on Monday, March 16 on ABS-CBN. The series also stars Jericho Rosales, Edu Manzano and Maja Salvador.
