Erich plays visually impaired beauty queen

CEBU, Philippines - Erich Gonzales will inspire TV viewers tonight as she portrays the role of a visually impaired model-beauty queen named Jessa in ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”

Inheriting her mother’s glaucoma and losing her eyesight at the age of 18, Jessa grew up being bullied in school. But she became a source of inspiration to other blind students and other people, especially when she was crowned Miss Philippines on Vision 2013.
