‘It’s Showtime’ presents Holy Week drama special

CEBU, Philippines - The hosts of noontime show “It’s Showtime” will venture into acting once again to inspire viewers in its Holy Week drama special that airs this Monday until Wednesday (April 14-16).

On Monday, catch the life story of “Stars on 45” grand champion Haydee Manosca, to be portrayed by Karylle, and second runner-up Charlie Fry, to be portrayed by Billy Crawford.

Vice Ganda, meanwhile, will showcase his dramatic chops on Tuesday to bring to life what “Stars on 45” wildcard finalist Reuben Quilantang had to go through before taking the limelight on the “Showtime” stage.

For the first time ever, Coleen Garcia will depict a lesbian in the life story of “That’s My Tomboy” finalist Chucks Ledbetter on Wednesday. This will be followed by the inspiring tale of Vhong Navarro “Kalokalike” Mark Tyler Dela Cruz. The character will be played by Vhong himself, who remarked that he didn’t expect he would find it hard to interpret and act out his Kalokalike’s life experiences.

Also featured in the drama special are hosts Jhong Hilario, Kuya Kim Atienza, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Ryan Bang, and Eruption, and some of the industry’s veteran actors as special guests in roles that are sure to touch viewers’ hearts.
