The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  It will be an exciting movie marathon this weekend as GMA-7 brings three of the popular Hollywood movies to Filipino homes via GMA Blockbusters, Kapuso Movie Festival, and Sunday Night Box Office.

Today, get ready for a fun-filled afternoon as the Kapuso network airs the American comedy film “Home Alone 3” on GMA Blockbusters. This movie will definitely draw laughter from the audience because of the comical portrayal of Alex Linz as the eight-year-old Alex Pruitt who will be left alone at home.

A series of hilarious events will happen when four terrorists retrieve an essential microchip, which they hide in a remote-controlled car and place in a luggage while they are at the airport. But due to a luggage mix-up, the remote-controlled car will eventually be in the hands of Alex. They will then search where the boy lives so they can get it from him. But the clever Alex will set up various traps at home to prevent the goons from entering.

Meanwhile, it is a movie date this Sunday (April 6) for the whole family as the hit fantasy/adventure film Legend of the “Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” takes the viewers to a whole new flight full of memorable lessons on Kapuso Movie Festival.

This film showcases the story of Soren, a young owl who dreams of joining the winged warriors to protect their kingdom. When Soren gets abducted by an evil owl army, he must find a way to escape with his new-found friends and seek help from the legendary Guardians.

On Sunday night, the horror film “The Amityville Horror” starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George will bring screams and goose bumps to the viewers via SNBO.

It is a story of a family who moves in to a new home in Amityville, Long Island, which has a dark history of a man who killed his family members, claiming that he was persuaded by demons living in the house. The family will then begin to experience paranormal events. Their daughter is being befriended by a girl named Jodie, who turns out to be one of the murdered children. Things begin to get even more frightening when George (Ryan) gets possessed by evil spirits and attempts to kill his family as well.

Experience a one-of-a-kind weekend movie marathon this Saturday with GMA Blockbusters after “Eat Bulaga” and this Sunday with Kapuso Movie Festival before “Sunday All Stars” and SNBO after “Imbestigador.” (PR)
