All-new 'Born to be Wild' this Sunday
CEBU, Philippines - Doc Ferds Recio and Doc Nielsen Donato go on field missions to save animals in different parts of the country.
In Bulacan, Doc Ferds Recio retrieves a five-year old reticulated python that has been kept as a pet. Doc Ferds finds the snake in a small cage and learns it has not been fed for days. When the cage is opened, the snake goes wild and attacks the chickens inside the compound. Doc Ferds must restrain the animal without harming it and those around it. On the same day, Doc Ferds' team receives a call from a private subdivision in Quezon City. An escaped civet cat that may have been kept as a pet is now awaiting rescue. The security guards are concerned because the civet cat appears weak and frail. But during the check-up, the civet cat shows its wild instincts and accidently bites Doc Ferds.
In Bohol, Doc Nielsen visits a rescue center where exotic animals from Indonesia were turned over. These animals were saved from illegal poachers. But because Philippine forests are not their natural habitat, these animals are not fit for release. Some of them are ill. A black ape was diagnosed as having fever. And another animal, a cuscus from the family of kangaroos, is treated by Doc Nielsen.
