QueenSize of Cebu: The other definition of beauty

CEBU, Philippines - QueenSize of Cebu is set to take centerstage this Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Teatro Casino of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. The first-ever beauty pageant for obese trangenders this side of the country, QueenSize of Cebu is expected to be a grandiose beauty, brain, and talent pageant.

Fifteen shemales, whose waistlines start from 35 inches and whose weights are over 200 pounds, will vie for the distinction of becoming the first-ever QueenSize of Cebu. These obese but gorgeous ladyboys had earlier showcased their talents last Sept.14 at Villa Teresita Resort Dive Center, Biasong, Talisay City.

Each candidate, representing a particular planet, will transform the stage into a gigantic and magnificent solar system. The finalists include QueenSize Mercury Marxiah Jimenez, QueenSize Venus Lady Eva, QueenSize Earth Cyrus Velasco, QueenSize Mars Enerva Canasa, QueenSize Jupiter Julia Madrigal, QueenSize Saturn Marva, QueenSize Uranus Janice de Belen, QueenSize Pluto Ann Lopez, QueenSize Ceres Tatiana Agustin, QueenSize Eros Samantha Wilson, QueenSize Chiron Marcie Perez, QueenSize Vesta Jea Albas, QueenSize Sedna Lea Victoria Espina, QueenSize Quaoar Aiko Melendez, and QueenSize Neptune Mikaela Adriana.

The batch is composed of individuals who are successful in their respective careers as fashion designers, entrepreneurs, artists, yuppies, and stand-up comedians. All finalists underwent different pre-pageant activities such as personality development training, basic makeup session, mass feeding, radio and TV guestings, mall shows, and photo-shoot session with Cebuano professional photographers.

One of the most exciting special awards to be won is the Netizens’ Most Photogenic award, which will be based on the most number of ‘likes’ among the candidates’ photos found on QueenSize of Cebu Facebook fan page. Three titles await the winning candidates: QueenSize of Cebu Universe (winner); QueenSize of Terrestrial (first runner-up); and QueenSize of Aerial (second runner-up).

Aside from the cash prize and products from sponsors, the QueenSize of Cebu winner will also receive the crown personally designed by international Cebuano fashion designer Kenneth Harion.

QueenSize of Cebu is presented by MoonWalk Cebu, in cooperation with Casino Filipino and Limerick Productions. D’ Beauty Wonderland, Gizmo, Crown Regency, Villa Teresita Resort, and Harolds Hotel are some of the major sponsors, with The Freeman, Banat News, and DYAR Cebu as media partners. (FREEMAN)
