The bodies to beat

CEBU, Philippines - Summer’s last hurrah in this corner of the country was one hot night of ravishing ladies and gents vying to be proclaimed the rightful winners of Creworks Asia’s Best Bodies of Summer 2013 contest.

The poolside of Montebello Villa Hotel was transformed into a runway that evening of May 26, giving each male and female candidate ample time to strut their enviable figures and impress with their modeling skills. 

Keeping the affair sexy yet classy were the eight designers who showcased their latest resort wear collections namely, Aldwin Guardiana, Brendon Val Cenon, Danny Booc, Dexter Alazas, Kenneth Hariono, Lemuel Rosos, Rey Humberto Villegas and Ryan Dumago.

After a good deal of deliberation from the judges, declared the Best Bodies of Summer were Krystal Lyssa Pelomiana (also named Ms. Mary Kay and Ms. Glutamin) and Charlemagne Umpad (also Mr. Scent-J Perfume).

Following closely behind were their first runners-up Danielle Iris Najardo (Ms. Slimmers World, Female Model Discovery, Ms. New Placenta, Ms. Scent-J Perfume and Face of Montebello Villa Hotel) and Demos Pañares (Showbiz Sosyal Readers Choice).

Second runners-up were Daisy Atienza (Ms. Quinces Facial Care Clinic, Ms. Salon de Rose, Ms. Bambini, Ms. Hapuhap Spa and Showbiz Sosyal Readers Choice) and Carlos Ching (Mr. Quinces Facial Care Clinic, Mr. Tour de Franz, Mr. Biogenic, Mr. Olive-C, Mr. Gizmo and Mr. Photogenic).

The male and female grand winners received P10,000 each plus sponsor products; while first runners-ups and second runners-up got P5,000 and P3,000, respectively.

Other awardees were: Wilfred Ouano, Mr. Mary Kay and Mr. Smile; Dayniel Moya, Ms. Tour de Franz and Ms. Designer’s Choice; Marianne Hernandez, Ms. Smile; Clyde Gail Magalso, Mr. Salon de Rose; Vince Ty, Mr. Hapuhap Spa; Renee Alessandro Lictz, Mr. Slimmers World; Al-Sughayer Rashed, Male Model Discovery and Mr. New Placenta; Alfred Codilla, Mr. Glutamin; Danica Anne Puasa, Ms. Olive-C; Jingle Sotelo, Ms. Gizmo; Kenjie Espina, Face of Montebello and Mr. Designer’s Choice; and Ladyluck Rodinas, Ms. Photegenic.

Mr. Manhunt International 2012 title-holder and Psalmstre endorser Jun Macasaet graced the event as one of the judges. (FREEMAN)
