CCCI, USAID SPEED collaborate to empower Cebu SMEs
In a joint effort to empower Small and Medium Enterprises in Cebu, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in partnership with the U.S. government and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Philippines, along with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 7 and the Online Retail Corp. (ORC), is set to host the “E-Commerce Capacity Development Program for SMEs in Cebu” seminar on March 13-14, 2024 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the City Sports Club, Cebu City.
Led by USAID SPEED, the initiative aims to mobilize the digital economy for enterprise-led development and boost the participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the digital marketplace. Focused on four key objectives - improving SME capacity and access to e-commerce platforms, expanding e-payment systems, integrating e-commerce with logistical supply chains, and enhancing consumer awareness and protection - the program seeks to equip SMEs with the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in the digital landscape.
The seminar promises a comprehensive approach to empower SMEs with insights and strategies for effective online business operations, providing a platform for local businesses to deepen their understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem and network with industry experts.
This collaborative effort underscores a dedication to supporting SME growth and sustainability in Cebu, fostering innovation, and maintaining competitiveness in the global digital market.
