CEBU, Philippines — The country’s real estate sector is poised to create an industry-wide advocacy coalition in a bid to take advantage of the sustaining market appetite amid the pandemic.

The “A Better Real Estate Philippines” or ABREP will transform into an industry voice for real estate, composed of brokers, developers, and other allied sectors.

ABREP president Anthony Leuterio said this is the first time that most, if not all, allied industries in the real estate sector have joined hands to uplift the real estate sector and working with the government and regulatory authorities to propel growth.

“This is the first time that all stakeholders in the real estate sector, including developers joined together in one organization to act as the industry’s voice,” said Leuterio.

Initially ABREP was created as a movement that seeks to increase livelihood opportunities for Filipinos, promote the use of technology in real estate, and bolster the salesforce so that the backlog can be addressed.

At this time of pandemic, the more that stakeholders will join together to uplift the industry in times of crisis.

Currently, ABREP is supported by the Chamber of Real Estate Builders Associations (CREBA), the National Real Estate Association (NREA), the Real Estate Brokers Association of the Philippines (REBAP), the Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP), and the Subdivision and Housing Developers Association (SHDA), among others.
