CEBU, Philippines — More attractive discounts are up for grabs at the Great Cebu Sale as the first ever virtual sale culminates this week.
The organizing committee of this year’s GCS announced that most if not all participating merchants, including hotels, are offering at least 50 percent off of products and services.
These exclusives deals are available virtually via GCS’ official website at www.thegreatcebusale.com to check out all the participating merchants.
The Great Cebu Sale website generates 7,250 visitors with 45,000 page views.
Based on the data gathered, around 31 countries visited the website mostly from the Philippines, United States, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom and Qatar.
In fact, the sites of travel & tourism are the most accessed by GCS visitors, followed by electronics, food and beverage (F&B), lifestyle and home essentials.
According to latest survey conducted by Philippine Retailers Association (PRA-Cebu) 64 percent of the merchants reported increased in sales performance by an average of 20 percent.
The virtual Great Cebu Sale is conducted in a bid to catch up with the growing consumers now shopping online, as well to spur economic activities after a long shutdown of retail business due to the pandemic.
