The British icon, MINI, has finally arrived in Cebu bringing in the much awaited new model of the MINI Hatch.
The manufacturer, which is famous for its accolades in racing and its superstar appearances in film and TV, is now open to cater to the ever growing number of car aficionados in the Visayas.
Mini Cebu Vice President Brian Chua welcomed the media and guest to a stylish show that transformed the new showroom into a British Pub. “Mini is an icon and one of the very few brands in the world that can be recognized by just a single word -Mini,” Chua said.
Lyndon Go, Mini Cebu president, said that the stylistic car always draws attention. “If you have a Mini, it will make you look 10 years younger,” shared. He added that the car is very practical and easy to drive.
British United Automobiles, which handles the distributorship in the Philippines opened first dealership in Global City in 2010. BUA President Willy Tee Ten together with Mini Asia President Preecha Ninatkiattikul congratulated Mini Cebu and symbolically turned over the Mini plaque to Mini Cebu President Lyndon Go and Vice President Brian Chua. “ I am sure we will see a lot of these iconic cars on your roads very soon!” Tee Ten added.
The show culminated with Ryan Watson, BUA General Manager, giving a brief presentation of what makes the all new Mini Hatch better than its predecessor.
The new showroom is situated in A.S. Fortuna Street in Mandaue City. With the price range of 1.9 to 3.2M, the British Maker is expected to hit sales targets in Cebu. The Mini cars will also be displayed in Ayala Center to further introduce the brand to the Cebuanos.
