EVO Ventures Group conducts outreach for Inayawan kids

CEBU, Philippines - Taking cognizance of the natural calamities that hit the Visayan region in the last quarter of 2013, the President and CEO of EVO Ventures Group, Mr. Edwin Ortiz thought of a worthwhile activity instead of the usual lavish Christmas party that the companies jointly have every year.

Together with companies under EVO Ventures including EVO Enviro Solutions Inc., a pioneering Zero Waste Materials Recovery Facility in White Roads Inayawan, Mr. Ortiz and the management gathered all the less fortunate children at the Cebu City Landfill covered court where the group provided entertainment, food and giveaways to the delight of the children and their parents who came in full force.

Mr. Ortiz’ children, key officers, and the management and staff of all companies joined the games, provided the food packs and distributed the giveaways to the children. The response of the recipient children was very heartwarming as they in turn sang Christmas carols as expression of their gratitude.

In his speech, Mr. Ortiz promised to do such activities in the years to come. (FREEMAN)
