CEBU, Philippines - Contempo Property Holdings, Inc. (CPHI) is enjoying positive market response in Cebu with its flagship project, the Bamboo Bay Community, now almost sold out barely a year since it launched.
The Bamboo Bay Community that sits on a one-hectare property along Hernan Cortes Street in Mandaue City, is an Asian contemporary themed development master-planned to support three mid-rise residential towers with a central core of resort amenities.
CPHI chair and chief executive officer Beverly Dayanan said in an interview that the first condominium tower that houses more than 200 units is already 98 percent sold to date. Units vary from 22 to 46 square meters with price starting at P1.8 million.
She cited that 60 percent of the buyers’ profile is comprised of locals who are mostly working professionals and businessmen.
Tower 1 started its construction last May 2013 and is projected to turn over its units before the end of 2015. It will also celebrate its topping off ceremony four months from now. Tower 2, on the other hand, was just launched last Saturday, January 11.
The entire Bamboo Bay Community with an investment of almost P1 billion is targeted to be completed by 2019.
Inspired with the qualities of the bamboo which symbolizes strength and flexibility, Dayanan said that the community is claimed to be the first community in Cebu dominated with a wide array of bamboo species.
“The bamboo is considered as an icon for grace and serenity that brings beauty and balance to the community. It cools the atmosphere and cleans the environment. Thus, we named our project as Bamboo Bay,†she added.
She also shared how she dreams of shaping communities of good neighbors by developing properties that foster social interaction, camaraderie and the bayanihan spirit among homeowners.
“What sets us apart from others is how we strategically place all our core amenities at the center of the three buildings to bring our homeowners together. While they are assured of privacy in their units, they can also mingle with other residents,†she said.
Its community facilities and amenities include multipurpose clubhouse, function room, fitness gym, swimming pool, children’s pool, playground and children’s play set, sunbathing deck, pool gazebo, shower room and lockers, badminton court, jogging path and lawn barbecue stations.
Other special complementary services are laundry and water stations, prayer and meditation room, community store and coffee shop.
Dayanan hopes that she could replicate the company’s first vertical project in other areas outside Cebu.
Dedicated to its goal of enhancing the lives of mid-income Filipinos, CPHI is committed to offer well-designed, sustainable and affordable homes attuned to the Filipino culture and values.
She further revealed that CPHI will venture into economic housing developments through its wholly-owned subsidiary company. Its first project will soon rise in Lapu-Lapu City. She is also eyeing to develop mass housing projects in Cebu. —/JOB (FREEMAN)
